How to apply
How to acquire a Vietnamese tourist visa if you come from an EU country

We are happy that you have decided to visit Vietnam. It is truly one of the most diverse and beautiful countries and you won’t regret staying here for more than 15 days. Since it is quite a big country, the distances tend to be long.

Citizens from selected countries in EU can visit Vietnam for up to 15 days visa-free such as citizens from Belarus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italia, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden and UK. Please note that a gap of at least 30 days between two visa-free visits is required. However, if you plan on staying for a longer period of time, you need to apply for a so-called Visa on Arrival or an E-Visa.

Visa on Arrival – Apply online for pre-approval then pick up your visa on arrival at the airport of Vietnam

Both of the options are very easy to apply to. You just need a computer and you’re all set to go! The first steps for a “Visa on Arrival” is that you:

The difference between a Visa on Arrival and an E-Visa is that you can apply to stay longer than 30 days with a Visa on Arrival. Here you have the option to apply for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and even up to 1 year with single or multiple entries. With the E-Visa you can only apply for a 30 days visa, single entry.

However, if you do not wish to stay for longer than that amount of time, an E-Visa is a very simple alternative and it is almost the same steps as applying for a Visa on Arrival.
