The Golden Bridge or Cau Vang is a beautiful golden bridge featuring two massive hands magically holding the bridge. It’s positioned on top of the Ba Na Hills in Da Nang, a beautiful coastal city in the central part of Vietnam.

Designed by TA Landscape Architecture, the 500-ft long bridge is suspended almost a mile high above sea level. From above, the bridge looks very magical where two giant hands of God seem to be holding a golden bar. Indeed, the bridge was proposed to conjure an image of God pulling a strip of gold from the land. The giant hands were purposely built to look old and weathered as if they have already been there for centuries, which make it even unique.

So how do you get to the Golden Bridge? Since it’s located in Da Nang, you have to first travel to this city. There are daily flights to Da Nang International Airport coming from Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi. If you wanted a cheaper option and you’re not in a hurry, you can take the bus or train going to Da Nang.

Da Nang itself is a popular tourist destination in Vietnam. This coastal city is famed for its luxurious beachfront villas and beautiful beaches. There are also a few attractions in Da Nang that are worth checking out, such as the Museum of Cham, which is known for its impressive collection of Cham artifacts.

Once you reach Da Nang, you need to travel for about an hour to reach Ba Na Hills where the Golden Bridge is located. The bridge is actually a part of the Sun World fantasy park. It can only be accessed through a cable car, which is dubbed as the world’s longest cable car system.

To get to the Golden Bridge, you need to enter the Sun World Fantasy amusement park and pay an entrance fee of 700,000 dong or around $30. This already includes the fare for the cable car ride going to the bridge. The ticket boot is just right beside the car park and after you make the payment, you’ll be given a map of the amusement park so you can find your way through the park.

Make sure you take time to explore the park before or after visiting the Golden Bridge. The fantasy park is charming in itself. It resembles a French village, complete with castles and cobblestone streets sitting above the hills.

What To Expect at the Golden Bridge?

The cable car ride going to the Golden Bridge takes about 20 min. It will come from the bottom of the Ba Na Hills going to the top. The ride itself is an exciting experience! Along the way, you get to have a glimpse of the spectacular views of the Da Nang coastline and the hills. As soon as you get to the top, you’ll be greeted with the magical site of the Golden Bridge. When you get off the cable car, you can walk through the golden walkway that stretches towards the treetops of Ba Na Hills.

Because of its recent popularity, you can expect a lot of visitors visiting the Golden Bridge. Yet, you can still enjoy an uninterrupted panoramic view of the bridge during your cable car ride, which makes for a really fun and memorable experience!
