The second option we highly recommend you, which is the Visa on Arrival. However, important to note is that it is only applicable if you travel by air to Vietnam. The Visa on Arrival (VOA) is the most effective one to get because of its convenience, quickness, simplicity, safety and that it is inexpensive. You can apply for this anywhere in the world – whether you are in New Zealand or somewhere else, all you need to do is have a computer and internet. This is the most effective way to apply for a visa if you are going to Vietnam. There is no need to send your passport or any other important private documents. What you need to do is fill out an Online Application Form, wait for your confirmation letter and you will normally receive an Approval Letter within 2 working days. When everything is done, don’t forget to print out the finalized document, bring it to the airport in Vietnam and get it stamped by one of the immigration officers.

If you forgot to apply for a visa in good time, there is also the opportunity to get an Emergency Visa. It is then proceeded from 30 minutes to 4 hours.

3. Apply for Visa at a Vietnamese Embassy in New Zealand

The last option for you is to apply for a Visa at a Vietnamese consulate or Vietnamese embassy in New Zealand. You will need to search for the nearest Vietnamese Embassy in New Zealand and bring your passport and any relevant documents. This is the more inconvenient choice, for example if you live far away from the embassy. It also takes a bit longer time applying for and the waiting time can vary as well. However, this is the second option so if this fits you better, you will be glad to know that you can apply for a visa via an embassy or consulate.

There you go. It’s not more complicated than that! We hope that this article was helpful and that you are now ready to come visit us in our sunny and warm country. It will be worth your time to acquire a visa and at the end of the day, the only thing you will remember are the memories you will make on your unforgettable trip to Vietnam.
