How to apply
Apply Vietnam Visa Online (Vietnam e-visa) for citizens of Mongolia

Vietnam is probably one of Asia’s most popular tourist destinations and it’s not hard to see why it has become it. People travel here because there is simply so much to do and see in this Southeast Asian country. Perhaps it’s the warm, tropical weather, the food, people, culture, landscape, waterfalls, hiking opportunities or beaches that makes this a fantastic country to travel around in. Or perhaps it’s something else. Whatever it is, one thing is for sure – Vietnam should be your next travel destination!

It’s recommended to stay here for at least one month because of all the sights in the country. Vietnam is quite a big country and much is spread out. So, make sure you have enough time to do everything you’d like to do.

One thing that you need to think about before entering the country is to apply for a Vietnam visa. For citizens of Mongolia, you’ll need a visa regardless of the length of your stay. The Vietnam visa process is easy and you can get one from either three of these options:

Option #1: Electronic visa or Vietnam E-Visa for Mongolian passport holders

As a citizen of Mongolia, you can apply for the Vietnamese Electronic Visa. It is an electronic travel authorization from the Vietnamese Government which allows you to stay in the country for up to 30 days. It will be issued electronically in PDF format, so there won’t be a stamp or label placed in the passport. You just need to print a copy of it (hard copy or paper copy) to show at the check-in point for entering Vietnam

Fee to get an e-visa ($25) is non-refundable at the website of the government if your visa is refused. However, you can apply for your e-visa through our website https://www.evisa-vietnam.com (the fee from $40) for 100% Satisfied Or Get Your Money Back policy.

You are required to have a picture of your passport (the page of your personal information) and a picture of your face to upload on the visa application form.

Just have in mind that it is a single-entry visa for staying in Vietnam for 30 days so if you’re planning on leaving the country and entering again or want to staying in Vietnam for more than 30 days, the other two options will fit you better.

Option #2: Visa on Arrival (VOA) – Apply online for pre-approval then pick up visa on arrival at the airport of Vietnam

This option is preferred by many foreigners who comes to Vietnam. It is easy to apply to, convenient, quick and it saves you time. You can also apply for the VOA from anywhere in the world. All you need is your computer and internet. If you apply for this visa, you are allowed to enter Vietnam through any of the 5 international airports in Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Hai Phong city. You can only travel by air if you get a VOA, meaning you can’t enter Vietnam by bus, car, et cetera.

The process is very easy. What you need to do is fill out the Online Application form where you state your date of birth, and other relevant information. Then you wait for a confirmation email that will come in around 1-2 working hours. Normally you will receive a Visa Approval Letter within 2 working days. When the letter comes, don’t forget to print it out so the immigration officers in Vietnam can stamp your passport.

If by chance you need to get an emergency visa, it will cost you more money, but you will be able to get it faster. It will take from 30 minutes to 4 hours.

The third option is to apply for a visa in the closest Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate in Mongolia. The reason why this option might not be recommended is because it’s not as convenient if you don’t live close to the embassy. It means you will have to spend time on transportation and money. You will also need to remember to bring all the necessary documents, such as passport, and if you by any chance forget anything, you need to start all over again with the process. It is time consuming and you usually need to pick up your passport in the embassy or consulate. There is a Vietnam Embassy in Ulaanbaatar. The address is: Enkhtaivny Urgun Chuluu – 47,C.P.O Box 670,Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

The only thing you need to remember is to bring all the visa documents when it’s approved of, money (EUR & USD works), and photos of you. In some airports you can get your photo taken on the spot, but try to have it before you go to the immigration officers. If you forget one of these things, they have the right to deny you at the entrance.
